February Meeting Recap

The February meeting was our first meeting of the 2021 spring semester. We hosted guest speaker, Dr. Smolenyak, who is an Optometrist and specializes in conjunctivitis, glaucoma, and ocular emergencies. The meeting covered the importance of taking protective measures to keep your eyes healthy, especially in this day and age where so much is online and there is a lot of harmful light emitted directly toward our eyes. Dr. Smolenyak also spoke about the importance of keeping a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent diabetes and obesity, which can lead to cataracts and glaucoma.
